Honduras Manager Addresses The Reality Of An Issue Luis Palma Has At Celtic

Honduras chief addresses the 'reality' of issue Luis Palma has at Celtic

Honduran forward Luis Palma has struggled to make an impact at Celtic since joining the club from Vida in the summer of 2022.

The 22-year-old has made just four appearances for the Hoops, failing to score or provide an assist.

Honduras manager Diego Vazquez has now addressed the issue, admitting that Palma is struggling to adapt to life in Scotland.

"He's a young player who is still adapting to a new country and a new league," Vazquez said.

"It's not easy to come to a club like Celtic and expect to play every week.

"He's got a lot of talent, but he needs to be patient and keep working hard.

"I'm sure he'll eventually show everyone what he can do."

Palma's struggles at Celtic have been well-documented.

The Honduran has been criticized for his lack of end product and his inability to hold the ball up.

He has also been accused of being too lightweight for the Scottish game.

Despite his struggles, Vazquez remains confident in Palma's ability.

The Honduras manager believes that the winger has the potential to be a valuable asset for Celtic.

"He's a very talented player," Vazquez said.

"He's quick, he's skilful and he's got a good eye for goal.

"I'm sure he'll eventually come good for Celtic."

Palma will be hoping to get more game time under his belt when Honduras face Canada in a friendly on November 17.

The winger will be looking to impress Vazquez and earn a place in the Honduras squad for the 2023 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
